For a home workshop or garage, it is not at all necessary to buy factory-made sheet bending machines, since they cost a lot.
To work with sheet metal, a sheet bending machine can be made with your own hands. Moreover, the materials for its manufacture are inexpensive and always affordable.
The author uses a piece of channel channel with a width of 140 mm as the basis for the sheet bending machine. The clamping plate is made of a construction corner 75 * 75 mm.
The bending bar is made of a corner 50 * 50 mm, which is additionally reinforced with a corner 30 * 30 mm.
The main stages of work
First of all, two awnings will need to be welded to the channel. It is advisable not to use purchased ones (it is better to order awnings for a turner or to make them yourself if you have a lathe).
In order to weld the canopies to the base, it will be necessary to make a selection in the channel. In the corner you also need to make a selection.
The clamping plate from the 75th corner is put on the studs, which are inserted into the holes in the base and fixed with nuts. Springs are put on the studs.
The handle can be made of a round steel pipe. In the center, the author additionally welded the jib from the profile pipe. This shape of the handle is convenient in that you can put blanks on it.
Nuts are welded onto the studs on top of the clamping plate, welded for convenience to homemade wrenches.
