To make a homemade cross-cut saw with a broach, the author uses an ordinary hand-held circular saw.
You will also need a small piece of plywood and a wooden block. In this case, the author took materials that were at hand.
Cut a piece of plywood to size, grind if necessary. Then we fasten a wooden block to it (45 mm in height).
The main stages of work
After the foundation has been made, the author makes a carriage out of another piece of plywood and bars. In the middle of the base, a block needs to be fixed, and a carriage is attached to it on the hinges.
Thanks to the bolted connection, the block itself is movable, so the carriage can be set at the required angle.
In addition, the author made a supporting leg from a wooden block, so that it was convenient to lay the blanks. The support leg is easily removed to the side.
Also, for convenience, the author made an emphasis on the carriage, which allows you to quickly set it strictly at right angles (at 90 degrees). The emphasis is attached to the bar with a loop.
