On the basis of the electric sharpener (grinding machine), you can make a home-made grinder for the home workshop. On such a grinding machine it is convenient to sharpen knives and process other workpieces from metal, wood, plywood.
For the manufacture of the grinder, the author uses a profile pipe 30x20 mm, a gas lift (used in furniture production) and some other metal blanks.
First of all, it will be necessary to cut off two workpieces from a 30x20 mm profile pipe with a length of about 50 cm. We need to weld them together.

The main stages of work
In the next step, it will be necessary to cut off a small piece of the metal plate. It will need to drill three holes in it to fix the loop. Then, a piece of steel plate with a hole is welded to the free side of the loop.
Next, we attach the rollers on which the sanding belt will be worn. A large roller is mounted on the shaft of the grinding machine, a small one is attached to the loop.
The plate with a loop is screwed to the profile pipe. Then another gas lift is attached. A corner is attached to the bottom of the rack from the profile.
In the end, it remains only to fix the base plate for the sanding belt and make a work table. We grind and paint all the details.
