The first step is to disassemble the bearing into its component parts. For homemade work, only an external clip is required. If there is no bearing, a piece of steel pipe of suitable diameter can be used.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the author makes a marking in the outer casing with a marker and cuts the spikes with the help of a grinder. The result should be a part that in appearance resembles a castellated nut.
After that, a piece of pipe suitable in size and diameter will be required. One end of the workpiece must be cut exactly at an angle of 90 degrees. Then, the author welds the outer sleeve with "spikes" to the pipe to the size of the slots on the nut.
Then it remains only to clean the welds with a grinder or just go through a metal file, and the fixture is ready to work.
