As the frame, you can use plywood. Also from the basic materials you will need: snake springs, synthetic winterizer, polyurethane foam boards for gluing the frame.
The first step is to cut four identical pieces of plywood, from which then you need to assemble the frame. In the upper part of the frame, the master additionally makes a frame of wooden blocks.
A step-by-step process for making a soft ottoman for your home
At the bottom of the frame at the edges are attached two planks of plywood. Next, fastenings and snake springs are installed, and also belts are fixed with the help of a stapler.
Felt lining is placed on top of metal snake springs and belts. Next, the plywood frame is glued with PUF (polyurethane foam boards).
At the last stage, the resulting “pie” is fitted with a synthetic winterizer, after which the master proceeds to sew a leather cover.
Then the sewn leather case is put on the ottoman. In the lower part, in order to hide the elements of the frame, everything is covered with a black upholstery. For this, the master uses a stapler.
