Making an improvised furnace from an empty powder fire extinguisher of the mobile type OP-35 is a great idea for a summer house and home, since you do not need to build a stationary furnace from brick, and you can save on the purchase of building materials. In the case of a fire extinguisher, the base for the furnace is almost ready. It remains only to slightly modify the case itself.
The main stages of work
First of all, we cut off everything unnecessary from the cylinder from under the fire extinguisher - handles and mounts under the wheels. And for this we use the grinder. Next, cut off the upper part of the cylinder directly along the weld. If the container is full, then the powder that is inside will need to be shaken out.
In the next step, we weld the upper part to the bottom of the fire extinguisher body, which was cut earlier to make a bowl. In the center of the resulting bowl, it is necessary to burn the inner hole by welding. Next, we cut out the side window in the cylinder and weld the door to the hinges (or awnings). In the door itself, a small hole is drilled under the steel handle.
Then it is necessary to drill air inlets with a diameter of 10 mm, after having previously made the marking in the right places. At the last stage of work, two identical handles are made, which are then welded to the cylinder of the fire extinguisher. The end result was a compact portable oven for a cauldron.
