Cleaning profile and round pipes, as well as other metal products from rust takes a lot of time (especially with large volumes of work). Even if you clean the surface with a grinder, the process is also not the fastest. Therefore, to facilitate the task, you can use a simple, but very useful home-made device.
For its manufacture, a profile pipe of 100x100 mm will be required, from which a piece of 150-200 mm in length should be cut. The blank must then be cut lengthwise to make two U-shaped parts. Next, they need to make four square cutouts for the studs. From the half-inch pipe we cut four bushings.
Final fitting and assembly
In the side wall of the structure, it is necessary to make a cutout for the second part - it should pass quietly, without clinging with studs and nuts. Next, you need to weld the base under a vertical stop with cutouts for the ends, in which longitudinal holes are made. On the reverse side, you need to cut out the technological “window” to access the inside of the profile pipe.
Two plates are vertically welded to the base - guides to remove backlash when the carriage moves. The assembled finished structure must be cleaned with a grinding disc for angle grinders, painted and attached to a makeshift rack for the grinder. Additionally, you need to make a "nozzle" on a standard casing.
