The main difference between this homemade product and the classic adjustable wrenches that are sold in the store is that the lever handle is completely independent of the main body. Moreover, it has a gear clutch with a movable sponge key. Therefore, to reduce and spread the key, just turn the lever in the right direction.
Key manufacturing process
The basis of a homemade adjustable wrench will be made of two washers with a diameter of 50 mm, which can be cut from a steel round timber of suitable sizes. Then, using a grinder in the first washer, you need to make a rectangular cutout according to the previously applied marking. We cut the cut points with a file.
In the resulting workpiece, we drill a through hole, and also make two slots on the inside and outside of the part using angle grinders. Moreover, one slot should be wide, and the other narrow. Next, we need a second washer in which, according to the template, we need to cut out the rest of the universal adjustable wrench.
After that, in the second workpiece, we make two slots in the grinder to connect it to the first part. And also in its lower part it will be necessary to cut the teeth, as on a gear. To do this, use a triangular file. At the next stage, from the spring piece, you need to make the adjustable wrench lever, on the head of which we also cut the teeth with a file.
