The main advantage of this homemade mini-machine is its light weight and compact size - it does not take up much space in the house and fits even on a coffee table without any problems. It can be used both for grinding wooden and metal workpieces, and for sharpening knives or other cutting objects.

A 12 V DC motor with a power of at least 100 W is suitable as an electric drive for a mini-grinding machine. The number of revolutions also matters - it is better to choose engines at 6000 rpm. You will also need a regular Velcro grinding attachment for a power drill with a diameter of 125 mm.

The process of manufacturing a mini-grinding machine

To connect the electric motor and the nozzle for a drill, we will use a belt drive. In this case, the machine power will increase, which is very important. We start work with the manufacture of wooden pulleys. To do this, cut out two pieces of plywood of large and small diameter from a piece of plywood.

On the tail part of the grinding nozzle you need to "fit" two bearings. But first, they must be placed in a wooden case. To do this, cut a hole of suitable diameter in a small bar of plywood. Then we lubricate the inner surface of the hole with glue and glue the bearings.

We fix the resulting support post on a wooden base, fixing it on both sides with steel corners. Then it remains only to assemble the entire structure, and the mini-grinding machine is ready for use. See the main assembly steps in the video.
