This simple device is useful not only in the workshop, it will be useful in a normal garage - for example, if you have only one hydraulic jack available, but you need to lift and fix the machine from two sides. In addition, this invention, due to its design, also acts as additional insurance (this is especially true if you have an old jack).
What materials will be required to work
To make a home-made stand for a car, you will need to prepare the following materials in advance:
- metal plates 6 cm long - 2 pieces;
- profile square pipe 6 cm long - 4 pieces;
- steel ravnopolochny corner - 1 piece;
- square profile pipe 11 cm long - 1 piece;
- a piece of rolled steel of circular cross section 2-3 cm.
Where to start and how to assemble the device?
Two square profile pipes with a length of 6 cm must be welded to the base of the metal plates, exposing them at an angle of 90 degrees - you should get T-shaped parts. Then, inside the welded pipes, it is necessary to insert the two remaining segments of the metal profile 6 cm long (they should be of a smaller cross section) and, using an electric drill, drill 3 through holes in each rack.
After that, a jumper from a section of a profile pipe with a length of 11 cm must be welded to square pipes of a smaller cross section. Then, in the center of the jumper, it is also necessary to weld a steel corner, placing it on the edge. And from the bottom side (also in the center) - weld a piece of rolled steel of circular cross section.
