This alteration is possible in two ways by buying a braid with heating or by installing a heating element in the steering wheel of a car. If the first method is cheaper and practical, then the second alteration is better to do on their own because of the high cost and non-standard work for the car service.

When using a warm braid, it would not sound corny just to sit down and go, a minimum of alterations, easy installation. Of the minor minuses: the cigarette lighter socket is constantly occupied, as well as the inconvenience in the absence of a temperature regulator. Mostly Chinese manufacturers are represented on the market for heated braids. I am glad about the price, which has dropped two-three times in a few years; now this is not know-how, but a regular accessory.

Steering wheel heater
Self-assembly of a special kit for heating the steering wheel, in cases where this is not provided for by the design. The essence of the work is to install heating elements under the standard casing. Difficulties can arise when the braid returns to its original state, there are two ways out: you can return the old braid, or you can freshen up the skin with natural or eco-leather with perforation. Steering wheel connection
In the so-called snail steering, twisted tape with contacts, to which the signal and airbag are connected, there are additional free tracks. The built-in steering wheel heating through a relay and a fuse is connected to these free tracks, in a similar way, like a mirror heating. Due to the connection features, it is not advisable to use artisanal heating elements.
