If you like to make something unusual and original with your own hands, take note of two fresh homemade ideas that will come in handy at home and in the workshop. In this article, we will tell you how to make a stylish nightlight out of LEDs and glass, and also manufacture a practical tool for cutting plastic in a hot way.
Idea number 1. Stylish night light for home
From four identical pieces of wooden plank we glue a small square box. We make the bottom from a piece of chipboard of suitable sizes - in the middle we glue three LED bulbs at 5 V, to which we solder a two-wire copper wire.
Next, we cut out the lid for the box from the chipboard, in the middle of which we make a small longitudinal cut. We insert a long piece of glass into it and fix it with hot glue. Now it remains only to glue the lid, as well as connect the ends of the wire to the power adapter or battery. Such a homemade unusual night lamp will decorate any interior.
Idea number 2. Plastic cutting knife
We make a handle for a removable blade from a clerical knife from a dense chipboard. We connect the two halves of the handle using self-tapping screws. We put on the blade base cut along pieces of a glass reinforced insulating tube, and on top we wind a nichrome wire (in this case, 8-10 turns are enough).
Using twisting, we attach two copper wires to the ends of the wire, which are soldered to the plug connector for connecting the power supply for 9-12 V.
