FLOWERS OF THREADS IN A HOMEMADE VASE

Spring is not soon, but I really want to decorate my apartment with at least some flowers. You can, of course, buy half-dead cut plants in a flower shop that won't last a couple of days. And you can collect all your creative potential and make an original decoration for an apartment. We bring to your attention a master class on making flowers from knitting threads, which you can place in an unusual vase made from improvised materials.
To work, prepare the following components:
- threads for knitting, two skeins of any color (for example, orange and red);
- a piece of thick cardboard;
- a can (it is possible from under coffee);
- a section of a self-woven cloth;
- flax rope;
- glue for fabric;
- scissors;
- wooden long skewers;
- decoration elements (ribbons, appliqués made of fabric).

Step 1. We begin to manufacture a decorative vase. Take a tin can and cut a piece of self-woven cloth (so that it is enough to wrap the entire container and tuck it a little inward).

Glue the cut with fabric glue so that it completely covers the entire jar and tuck it inside the centimeter by 3-4. Wrap the bottom edge of the container with linen rope (1/3 jar) and tie a string near the top with a bow.

You can decorate a decorative vase at your discretion. In the photo, these are two multi-colored birds made of felt (you can also take the finished application).

Step 2. Now we proceed to the production of flowers from knitting threads. First, cut out two stencils from thick cardboard (as shown in the photo). One of them is large (9 cm in diameter), and the other is smaller (6 cm). As you can see, 8 small squares are obtained on the rings.

For each flower, you need to choose two shades that are suitable for the color scheme, but slightly contrasting. In the photo it is orange and red. So, we take a small blank and a red thread and begin to form a flower. To do this, thread the opposite squares with a thread. The thread should go to the "eight", crossing the center. It is necessary to do 3-4 turns.

Now move to the adjacent square and interlace with parallel to it.

So you should get weaves through 4 pairs of squares.

Turn the workpiece over and lock the two ends of the working thread. It is necessary to bandage all the intersections of the threads that turned out in the center of the circle. If this is not done, then they will fall apart when you remove the turns from the stencil.
